A flat silver band interrupted at the crown by an eruption of irregular ridge.
The Spiked Ring is built as a contradiction: a clean rectangular band, and a crown that refuses the band's logic. The raised section reads as something that grew there, or melted there, or was left behind after something pressed against the surface. The texture is irregular on purpose — no two rings share the same topography. The band below stays quiet.
This was the first piece of A Gross Domestic Product. It opened the (A) Symmetry collection and, with it, the brand's earliest position: that silver can hold gesture, not only geometry. Every piece in (A) Symmetry works from that premise. The Spiked Ring is where it started.
It wears heavy on the hand despite its scale. The ridge catches light unevenly — polished here, faceted there, occasionally matte — so the piece never reads as a flat object. Seen across a table, it reads as mineral or as forged; seen close, the ridge reveals itself as a studied surface, not an accident.
THE DATA
Material: Solid Sterling Silver .925
Construction: Flat band with raised irregular ridge at the crown
Dimensions (Size 5): 21.27mm × 5.56mm × 22.07mm
Dimensions (Size 11): 28.17mm × 7.36mm × 29.23mm
Sizing: US 5 through 11 — proportional across all dimensions
Finish: Polished band, mixed surface on the ridge
Fabrication: 3D printed silver + manual finishing
Production: Made to order — 21 business days from confirmed payment
Production note: Each Spiked Ring is produced individually. The ridge is finished by hand, which means every piece carries a slightly different topography — different peaks, different reflective pockets, different weight distributions along the crown. These are not flaws. They are the reason this piece exists. Allow 21 business days from order confirmation before shipment.
Maintenance: Sterling silver is reactive and will develop patina through environmental friction over time. The polished band can be restored with a silver cloth. The ridge will patina more unevenly and is often left to do so — many wearers prefer the darker oxidation that settles into the recesses of the crown. If full polish is desired, professional ultrasonic cleaning will reach the irregular surfaces.
